Iran and nuclear weapons

Says all options are on the table to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power.

Supports the current sanctions on Iran favors working to increase international pressure until it gives up on obtaining nuclear weapons. Such pressure would include an arms embargo, targeted travel bans and freezing of assets.

Climate change

Questions if humans are responsible for climate change and says the science behind the causes remains unclear. She opposes cap-and-trade legislation.

Believes that significant climate change is occurring as a result of human activity. He pronounced cap-and-trade legislation dead and declined to say if he would support any form of a carbon tax. Instead, he said he would listen to all ideas on how to find good, common-sense solutions.

Immigration

Opposes amnesty, but favors streamlining the process for admitting temporary workers. Favors stricter enforcement of immigration laws and would support issuance of electronic Social Security cards to stop employers from hiring illegals.

Undocumented immigrants should go to back of the line behind immigrants who came here legally. Any path to citizenship for illegal immigrants must include background checks, learning the language and basic civics. Favors stricter enforcement of current laws.

Bush tax cuts

Supports continuing all the tax cuts implemented during the administration of George W. Bush.

Supports continuing the tax cuts for middle- and lower-income residents.
