Camillo won an open seat in 2008, succeeding eight-term Republican Claudia M. Powers. He won re-election in 2010 with 64 percent of the vote.
Camillo had no previous elective experience before winning his House seat in 2008, but his community involvement includes organizing an effort to open a community dog park and helping to oversee various youth baseball leagues and a recycling program in Greenwich.
Camillo reported ownership interest in the Greenwich Recycling Company and commission income from the First Bank of Greenwich.
